Kidz Gathering Program

If you’re thinking about bringing your children to the IKAA Gathering 2007, you want to make sure you and they have a wonderful time in Korea.  With this experience and knowledge your children can tell their friends all about the amazing things they did and learned in Korea when they go back to their own countries. Moreover, it will be great to share this event together as a family!

General Information

To give your children the great opportunity to get acquainted with the rich Korean culture, the IKAA Gathering 2007 Committee is pleased to offer a space for you and your children to meet and play with other children from all over the world at the Kidz Gathering Room, located on the 19th floor of the Sofitel Ambassador Hotel.

For babies under the age of 2 years - parents will be provided with special facilities to take care of the needs of the little ones.
For children 5 years and younger - there will be toys to play with and a place to rest.
For children 6 to 12 years - we are setting up an exciting program including traditional Korean folk games, workshops like making traditional Korean village house with clay, writing Hangul (Korean alphabet), making paper dolls complete with Hanbok (Korean traditional dress), and much more!

Things NOT Provided at the Kidz Gathering Program

Parents will be responsible for the needs of their own kids. Therefore, meals and drinks are not included. Also diapers will not be provided.  If you like to give your little kid a rest in a babybed, please bring a little sheet for hygienic reasons.

Registration & Volunteering

We are thankful to have volunteers from KoRoot (www.koroot.org) and G.O.A.’L (www.goal.or.kr), but we also need parents to help.

Remembering that adoptees will come from many different countries, means that our children speak many different languages.  Therefore, if you intend to enroll your children in the Kidz Gathering program, we ask that you also volunteer some of your time by filling-in some time slots in the duty schedule.

It will be nice spending time together with your children and fellow adoptees and their children to discover Korean culture together and have a nice chat sharing the experiences of raising kids.
